Mudhakkir is built on a fundamental principle: your spiritual moments are yours alone. We don't just promise privacy. We've architected it into every aspect of the app.

This isn't marketing speak. We have no servers, no accounts,no analytics, and no way to collect your data even if we wanted to.

What Data Does Mudhakkir Access?

To provide context-aware dua reminders, Mudhakkir requires certain device permissions. Here's exactly what we access and why:

📍 Location (Always)

• Purpose: Home geofencing (detecting when you leave/enter home) and checking local weather for rain notifications.
• How it works: Your home location is stored locally on your device only. We use the operating system's native geofencing. The app only wakes when you cross your home boundary.
• Sent anywhere? Never. Your home location never leaves your device.

🔔 Notifications

• Purpose: To deliver dua reminders at the right moment.
• How it works: Standard iOS/Android push notification system.
• Sent anywhere? Notifications are generated locally on your device.

🏃 Motion & Fitness (iOS)

• Purpose: Detecting when you start driving (travel trigger).
• How it works: We use Apple's CoreMotion API to detect automotive activity, not GPS tracking.
• Sent anywhere? Never. This data stays on your device.

🌧️ Weather Data

• Purpose: Checking if it's raining at your location for the rain dua trigger.
• How it works: Twice daily (4 AM and 2 PM), we query the Open-Meteo weather API with your approximate coordinates.
• What's sent: Only your general latitude/longitude to get weather data. No identifiers, no account info, nothing traceable to you.
• Third party: Open-Meteo is a free, open-source weather API that doesn't require API keys or accounts.

What We Do NOT Do

• ❌ No user accounts: No sign-up, no login, no passwords
• ❌ No backend servers: We don't operate any servers
• ❌ No analytics: No tracking of how you use the app
• ❌ No crash reporting: We don't collect crash logs
• ❌ No advertising: No ads, no ad networks, no tracking pixels
• ❌ No data selling: We have no data to sell
• ❌ No cloud sync: Your settings stay on your device

Data Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device using secure iOS/Android storage mechanisms:

• Home location: Stored in encrypted local storage
• Wake time: Stored in local preferences
• Trigger settings: Stored in local preferences
• Language preferences: Stored in local preferences

If you delete the app, all this data is permanently removed from your device.

Third-Party Services

The only external service Mudhakkir contacts is:

• Open-Meteo Weather API: A free, open-source weather service. We send only your coordinates (no identifiers) twice daily to check for rain. See their privacy policy at open-meteo.com/en/terms

Children's Privacy

Mudhakkir is suitable for all ages. Since we don't collect any personal information, there are no special considerations for children's data.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Since we don't have user accounts, we can't notify you directly. Please check back periodically.
